To all our Brethren, Members and visitors,
After almost 40 as a Freemason it is my great pleasure to take on the role of Right Worshipful Master of Lodge St John (Operative) No 37. Like a large number of my Brother Freemasons, I was taken away from the Craft due to work and family commitments, and it is only recently that I have been pleased to return to our regular meetings in the St John No 37 Lodge Rooms.
It has been my pleasure, since my return to regular attendance, to be witness to a number of milestones in our Lodge, with Past Master Brother Des Masson being awarded Honorary Grand Rank, Past Master Mark Bruce being confirmed as Provincial Master of Moray and Nairn, and Past Master Kenny Wilson celebrating his Golden anniversary, having been a Freemason for 50 years.
We continue to look to Charity, and aim to support local and national charities and good causes including Prostate Scotland, Clan, and Forres Pipe Band.
I especially thank the dance, yoga and martial arts classes for their continued support, along with our own Brethren and the local community for choosing our venue for birthday and anniversary celebrations. This additional income allows us to keep our building and furnishings to a high standard, being able recently to re-decorate the building throughout.
Freemasonry, along with other organisations, suffers the regular loss of its members, and we are no exception. Sadly, we too, have lost a number of own Brethren to the Grand Lodge above, and to their families, we pass on our sincerest condolences.
I call upon all Brethren of St John (Operative) No 37 to support your Lodge. Those of you who we may not have seen for some time, a warm welcome awaits. You may not be aware of new website: www.LodgeStJohnOperative37.org, through which you can update your contact details.
Yours Fraternally,
W John Philip

We in Lodge St John would like to thank all of those who rent our hall for their continuing support. Giving CLAN and Forres Sensory Group the use of our building along with donations to 4 local organizations being the highlight of the year.
