Being installed in the Chair in my Mother Lodge, 27 years since the first time, was just as enjoyable. I am a lot better prepared, and have lost count of the number of installations I have attended.
My sincere thanks to Past Master Malcolm MacIntosh, and the other members of the Installing Board for doing a first class job. Thanks as well to all the Brethren who took up Offices. I look forward to working in Harmony with you over the next year.
The work of the Lodge will depend on us finding candidates, but I don’t intend to work Degrees with substitute candidates. I hope to get some Brothers to come along and give us interesting talks. The Lodge building is in good condition, but we must continue to monitor it and hopefully get the main Lodge room painted over the summer.
I look forward to visiting Lodges in Moray and Nairn, and further afield, and encourage others to join us.
Finally, if there are members of 37 out there who haven’t been for a while, or you know someone, I would ask you to try and encourage them back. They can be assured of a warm welcome.
Let’s make 2025 a year where the Lodge can improve and grow.
Sincerely, Allan J Lawrence R.W.M.
Charities
We in Lodge St John would like to thank all of those who rent our hall for their continuing support. Giving CLAN and Forres Sensory Group the use of our building along with donations to 4 local organizations being the highlight of the year.
